Dreams Of Reality

Laying here alone again

My mind reaches to its conscious end

Slipping to a state of dreams

I can't believe how real it seams

Soaring over mountain tops

Hopping along the river beds rocks

Bathing in a shallow stream

Staring at the heavens gleam

Tree's reach out to confront the sky

From broken limbs they start to cry

It rolls on down the reddened bark

As to some leaves I throw a spark

I give it all of my breath

Bringing life from total death

The flames dance lightly to the breeze

Then they surge on up as it flees

My mind keeps racing to and fro

But this is all not real I know

Reality is still right here

So I long for that which I hold dear.
