Incomplete Dreams

The roads slowly turning

Winding in the wind

Swaying to and fro I cling

Grasping to that yet unattained

Groping in the darkness

Waiting for the sun

Swimming in the shadows dark

Living off the moon

Full and bright it lights my way

Nocturnal jouneys onward

Striving for my peace of mind

My soul soaks in my dreams

Purity and happiness I seek

This longing an endless daze

My heads up in the clouds for now

Soaring through the skies

Scanning the earthen surface

Through this greyish haze

Coming to the land again

I don't know where I am

I'm lost here in a friendless world

Searching for a home

Wandering down these lonely streets

With no guidance here

I long to find someone who cares

Who will help me face these fears

Sleeping with the redwoods

Trees tower over me

Free to the winds slight change

Is where I long to be

Yet wait I must for now

'Till my soul is satisfied

To accept the serenity

Of a constant day to day life

For now I explore

Soak in the experience

And change continually

Wishing to fulfill all these desires

These dreams I am chasing

My heart will find the way

And lead me westward

Home to love and live.
