Your silence burns my ears

Sitting here drunk

Fighting back these tears

Patiently I'm waiting

For any form of reply

Yet still I hear nothing

So now I start to cry

I wrote you a letter

Still no reply

Then I sent you an email

Just to say hi

But still I have silence

No words from you yet

But I won't retract

My words I don't regret

I poured out my heart

Asking nothing in return

But understanding and friendship

From the heart which I yearn.
