Searching My Mind

Wandering aimlessly

Through endless corridors

Making my way

Slowly through this maze

Will I reach the end

Win the prize

Or just drift

Away to an altered reality

Can I cope with the present one

Or is it just too hard

Where will this lead

To some happiness

Or a greater good

Despair is waiting

Waiting for me to turn

Turn in the wrong direction

And into its pit

I won't make that mistake

I'll keep a true path

A path to the inner peace

I've been trying to find

I know its out there

No, its not out there

Its right here

Waiting to be found

At the end of my journey

Will I find it

I know I will

Its just a matter of time
