Chained down

By shackles of will

My own

Hold me fast

Tightly gripping

The security

So long sought

The driving ambition

To better my days

As I move so swiftly

Through this strange maze

Corner by corner

I turn towards the light

Farther and farther

Is the start of this flight

Wings spread wide

I sail through the air

My smiles unending

With narry a care

Happy existance

Is mine for today

As I search my mind

For a way to convey

This love slowly brewing

Deep in my chest

I'll bestow upon someone

And her life shall be blessed.
