Under You

Alone again and always

Where do I belong

All my actions of past

Seem to have led me wrong

I run toward your embrace

And hope to hold your hand

To walk out in the moonlight

Slowly across the sand

My heart is always aching

For love I cannot grasp

You seemed so right and then

It all just seemed to pass

Your love for him is destine

To meet a shallow end

I have so much to offer

Though time is on his side

For soon I shall be gone

And left with no more pride

It's time for me to leave you

And let you live out your life

Who knows in the end

You may make him a caring wife.
